About Theresa
I am a retired United States Navy leader, business professional, and community advocate who brings more than two decades of experience in leadership, personnel development, administration, and client service.
After retiring from a distinguished Navy career in 2023, I transitioned into the civilian workforce, where I have continued to apply the organizational, communication, and leadership skills I developed during my military service. I hold a Bachelor's degree and am currently pursuing my Master of Business Administration (MBA).
During my Navy career, I served as a Command Career Counselor, helping Sailors navigate career decisions, professional development opportunities, and life transitions. My assignments took me across the country, including Illinois, California, Virginia, and Hawaii, giving me extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
I am passionate about helping others reach their full potential and believe in the importance of resilience, personal growth, and lifelong learning. My own journey as a survivor of domestic violence has deepened my commitment to supporting individuals who are overcoming adversity and rebuilding their lives. I understand firsthand the transformative impact that support, education, and personal determination can have on a person's future.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and prioritizing self-care and wellness. My husband, Dr. Sylvester "Sly" Sullivan, and I are proud parents of a daughter attending Onalaska High School. Our household is also shared with Astro, a Ragdoll cat, and Paddington, Astro's younger brother, a Ragdoll-Siamese mix. Together, the two cats ensure there's never a shortage of affection, curiosity, or unexpected mischief.
Whether in military service, business, or community involvement, I strive to lead with integrity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
